Destruction!

The attached video shows buildings getting blown due to an explosion. These buildings were are converted into destructible meshes. The  explosions used here  are the particle effects that were provided  by the institution. And the red button is a level blueprint that was created to explode the buildings only when the  the vehicle crossed over it. 

Isometric Drawing for level Design

Based on my original idea, I had attempted to draw isometric drawing based on my initial level design. The way i approached it was making model in auto desk  maya first and using the mock model i had created  the isometric design of my level.the design basically indicates where will the power ups will be located, start and finish line, the hoops and different tricks that could be preformed. The isometric drawing is self explanatory. I haven't places in any landmarks yet as I am stuck against a brick wall  to see how far are each of the  main landmarks are.The solution to which i am still researching as i would like it to be accurate as per the actual locations.

Meterial instance Programing and Racing track creation using spline tool.

Below is an assignment challenge that I had created during my programming class here at Ringling college of art and design. all the assets were provided by the institution. I programmed the materiel of the balls to act as metal and rubber. using Blueprints in Unreal Engine 4 . I had also used the spline tool  to create the track for the car to race in. I used to provided assets for designing the race track. I do apologize for the sound as I am still learning the ropes of  programming.

Story boarding for race car level

As I researched more in to my level design components, i was advised to  to create storyboards for my level. The story boarding of the racing track has actually made me realize how my level is going to feel and what will be the short comings that i may face when i create the level. Story boarding also gave me few positive results in my own decisions; one of them being, that a in certain twists and turns in the level, the player can actually see what are the obstacles that he/ she will face. there have been few limitations that i have come to realize as i was story boarding my level and one of them being that there was not enough challenge in  one of the shortcuts, which i will have to rectify. However This has confirmed to me that  if this level is created , its going to be quite enjoyable, as one of the core mechanics that i am trying to include is speed. Research on Stunts and Maps

As I am getting closer to the deadline of creating the racing car game assignment , I was asked to do some research on stunts, stunt designs, theme and the story.  Something that inspired me throughout my research were as follows: Stunt#1 Loop : This stunt  was super awesome when I first saw it. And it inspired me to add a loop  as a stunt in my level. But thinking and observing more into it, I thought why name make it a bit more difficult, there i modified the hoop a bit. In this stunt, I have thought why not have 4 lanes for the cars to enter, however, as they speed up, the lanes start to merge and the loop end with two lanes  on the top and opens back up towards the end of the mouth back to 4 lanes, Hiving the player an excitement as well as use strategies on how to win  or over come the opponents. Level analysis of Asphalt 8 Airbone

Asphalt 8 Airborne -  London Track- Classic Game over view:  A sphalt  8 Airborne is a racing  game created for IOS and android systems. The game focuses solely on racing  and has individual missions on the side.   Its free to download and  has excellent graphics . There are 9 seasons  in the game, and each season consists of 15 races.   To advance into the next season you should have  collected a certain amount of stars ( act as experience points) to qualify  for next season or you could pay certain amount of money using your credit/ debit card. As you collect money and stars, you can buy  better cars and unlock more tracks. Some tracks can only be unlocked if you have purchased a specific brand of cars. Then again money is the other option.
