Updated trailer

After receiving valuable feed back from my classmates as well as my instructor. I had decided to work on it and had resubmitted the following trailer for a better grade. the changes i made were:  1. music trasnitions well towards the end. 2. few shots were replaced with better shots of different cars 3. introduction  shot of the police car, so that it doesnt feel out of place. 4. few better transitions  between some cuts

PONG Reference

For our programming class we are creating a retro game. The one that me and my team mate Danny choose is Pong. Looking at pong, one can assume that visually it has simplistic style. Since we have to create similar mechanics in the new Unreal Engine 4. I observed the above video to see what are the attributes and mechanics involved. There's one simple mechanic in pong  which is;  YOU as an individual has to win against your friend or rival. The game dictates that each player controls a  paddel and has to out maneuver  the other  by using startergies and wits.  the player to score 10 points first wins. Elements in Pong: If we convert the materials used in pong to  unreal engine, I could point out that using 2 physical materials 1 on the floor and other on the walls and  paddels, we can give the same effect as an actual pong. Attract Trailer- Inspiration

For my inspiration for my level attract trailer. I researched  on several game play trailers and I found the one that I really liked, the main reason I find this trailer inspiring is because of the way the cameras are set up as they provide detail of the track and give a first hand experience of  playing  the game.                                       

HUD Research

For teh next step for creating the racing game, we have create a HUD for our vehicle. The first step to approach this is to see what kind of HUD would be suitable  for the car as well as the level. Based on these two elements, I researched on several different models of Jeeps and many SUVs. Following are  some results that i found for references. Being inspired by these, I mad a mock HUD concept. The concept is based on the theme of the level as well as the various HUDs that i looked up online,
